Deleting items

Post by ahbappy250 »

The SEO experiments we’ve recommended so far are all related to specific elements of the page, such as meta titles and image alt texts.

But there are also other non-essential page elements that you can include in your split tests.

You can check whether removing certain items has a positive or negative impact on your search performance, for example:

Breadcrumbs ;
Images;
Social media buttons;
Pop-up.
Let's put this into practice. Let's say you have the free spain number for whatsapp following breadcrumb format on your product pages: "Home > Women's Clothing > T-Shirts".

Example of "Deleting a Breadcrumb Part"

Let's test whether Googlebot understands a page better when it has more context about the product via breadcrumbs. Let's do an SEO test by deleting the breadcrumb in the Variant group.

The end result? Organic traffic to pages in the Variant group drops by 6%. In this case, Googlebot seems to prefer the presence of the breadcrumb, so you can start thinking about the effect that this element could have if you implemented it at the site level.

6. Moving elements
Of course, it is not always necessary to completely remove the elements that are being considered for an SEO experiment.

You can test whether simply moving them is enough to get better SEO results. This includes:

Move images above or below titles;
Move content blocks to other locations on the page.
Remember: While these changes may impact on-page user behavior metrics, the purpose of SEO split testing is to monitor Google’s response to a change. You’ll likely need to work with CRO teams to find a balance between SEO and UX and define an optimal page layout.
