How has what you've learned helped you in your career?

Post by rabia198 »

It just so happened that I needed more freedom, and being able to carry out communications projects on my own and combine them with client work (after having spent my entire career in an agency) was the perfect combination. Working from two perspectives—that of the agency and that of the client—helps you better understand both sides and understand what each person's needs might be.

As a pro, being on your own gives you complete freedom and teaches you to be more "smart." You're the secretary, the account manager, the intern, etc. The downside is being able to share impressions with colleagues, the mini-brainstorming sessions that give you light when you don't have it one day.

Around this time, you decided to enroll in our E-commerce Management Program. What led you to study this program?
It was during my time at uruguay mobile database Jardiland. I grew increasingly interested in the digital world, and there was an increase in brands opening e-commerce sites or looking to improve them, in addition to the rise of startups. That, along with my desire to learn about it, prompted me to study it.

These months of confinement have reminded me a lot of those companies that were reluctant to open an e-commerce site. Having an online store has literally been vital for many small businesses.

It's helped me expand my knowledge, avoid being fooled when projects are presented to me, gain a deeper understanding of what a good digital strategy should be, and so on. Ultimately, I think everything feeds into everything else. I grew professionally completely offline, and now I don't understand companies that don't see it as a whole; everything is both offline and online.

You currently work for ARAG Spain. What are your responsibilities and what would you say are the challenges facing the sector?
At ARAG, I'm responsible for everything related to B2B marketing, sponsorships, and corporate image. The main challenge is that the insurance sector—being a traditional sector—must address new consumers and adapt to new sales methods, both in the B2C and B2B channels, something that is gradually happening.

How would you like your profile to evolve within the company?
Here, as in any other company, I prefer horizontal rather than vertical growth; that is, being able to get involved in projects that are interesting and represent a professional challenge. I don't think it's good to stay stuck in a permanent comfort zone.
