If you're not monitoring HARO (Help a Reporter Out), or its French equivalents Response Source or Authority Sources , you're probably missing out on media coverage (and link building) opportunities for your client or business.
Every day, journalists and content creators turn to these platforms to find sources for their stories. They’re looking for companies like yours to add value and expert advice to their content, so it’s a tactic you should take advantage of.
Not all of your responses will be used, but it’s a relatively low-effort tactic that can yield good results in terms of authoritative links. But only respond to queries that you can provide expert commentary on. #journorequest works much the same way with journalists using the hashtag on Twitter to get sources.
