Orkut was one of the first social networks that really left its mark on several generations. The network was incredibly successful and is still remembered by former users today. The creator of Orkut launched a new feature, the creation of Hello: a new social network !
The new feature has already been launched in some countries and is available for iOS and Android, but it will only be available in Brazil in August. On the official website, there is a field for Brazilians to pre-register, providing mint database their name and email address, so that they will be notified when the new feature goes live here. The goal of the network is to promote relationships and friendships based on users' shared interests. The creator of Hello defines the network in a very simple way:
" Hello is the first social network built on deep friendships , not “Likes.” I invented hello to help you connect with people who share your passions. Hello is probably the most spoken word in the world, after “Ok.” Hi, hello, holá, Aló, halo, āllo, hallo, alló, hello.”
On Hello, people connect based on common interests, called "personas." You can choose up to five "personas" from over 100 available. The "folio" is your feed of posts, personalized based on the "personas" you choose. In his post, Buyukkokten, the network's creator, criticizes current social networks and claims that they have distanced people. According to him, Hello is the next generation of Orkut and aims to help people connect, becoming a page where "fear and hate have no place."
