Organization and motivation are essential to be productive from home sweet home. At Open Digital we want to let you know about a few platforms that will make your life easier during this new experience we have had to take on: teleworking.
There are numerous tools that we can use to deliver our work on time list of ghana whatsapp phone numbers and not rest on our laurels . Below we will list a few that have been very useful for us as a Strategic Marketing agency:
Task Management:
In our office, for example, there are whiteboards, post-its everywhere, thousands of coloured markers… At home we don't usually have so many utensils that make it easier for us to organise and keep track of tasks to do.
To keep track and to be clear about the tasks we have pending and those we have already completed, there are the following task management platforms:

Trello : Their task organization system is very useful and visual. This free platform has a color-coded tagging feature that is ideal for dividing tasks by client, but also due dates, checklists, attachments, or organization by task status.
Asana: allows for complete project management with more features such as file sharing facilities or organizing conversations around projects in courses. It is not in direct competition with Trello but it does complement it in a certain way. One of the elements that we like most about this platform is the management of a common to-do list since it has a project progress bar.
Messaging:
We are used to communicating directly with our colleagues when we need to ask a question, finalize details or plan new projects. Likewise, our clients, suppliers and partners are in constant contact with the company. Now, from home, we have to start using platforms that allow us to continue maintaining this communication fluidity.
The messaging platforms we recommend are:
Whatsapp Web : allows you to intuitively send and download multimedia files, links and documents. It also sends notifications of received messages and allows you to create groups or broadcast lists.
Slack : It has an interface similar to WhatsApp. Its services include: file sharing, instant messaging, voice calls, screen sharing, file indexing, and shared channels. The channel creation feature is highly recommended for managing a company's internal communication, especially if it has several work areas.
Videoconferences:
In our daily work at the office we have thousands of meetings, presentations, deliveries... There are issues that cannot be transmitted by messaging. For this reason, urgent meetings are necessary and videoconferencing platforms facilitate this type of meeting.
Among the possibilities that exist among the wide range of videoconferencing platforms, we recommend:
Skype: One of the most popular video calling platforms and many of us are already subscribed to it. The calls have high sound quality and are highly secure.
Google Hangouts : Google's video app has one clear advantage: if you have a Gmail account (almost all of us do), you already have one in Hangouts even if you don't know it yet. It also allows you to share your screen in real time, which is very useful when showing reports, graphics or examples.
GoToMeeting : Ideal for meetings where common projects need to be presented. The platform is part of an online meeting, desktop sharing and video conferencing software package that allows you to meet with clients, colleagues or suppliers in real time.
Content Management:
We work with documents, reports, studies, thousands of data… Portability is the feature that concerns us most in this regard. We believe that, when working remotely, it saves a lot of time to have files centralized on a platform that includes a mobile version, just in case .
The platforms we recommend in this regard are:
Google Drive: Its mobile version is fast, intuitive and allows us to immediately access content that we previously only had on our PC. It also has a desktop adaptation that will allow us to access our Drive files from our home screen.
Dropbox: It offers the same features as Drive in terms of file storage and portability. Something that can be an advantage or a disadvantage, depending on how you look at it, is that we don't need to have a Google account to manage our files.
Productivity
Being at home, distractions multiply and it is very important to be able to take advantage of time and produce. In the office we are very meticulous about the time we dedicate to each task, we usually count it to see how long it has taken us to complete each task. Although it is not recommended to do everything in a hurry, because it can be counterproductive, a good relationship between time and amount of work is ideal.
The tool we use and recommend for this is:
Timecamp: This application allows you to measure your working time by monitoring your time on your computer. It also allows you to invoice your working hours and measure them through a budget.
We hope that these platforms are useful to you and that you get the hang of teleworking. Let's all try to make it as enjoyable and productive as possible, in the end it will be fun to learn how to use these new tools. You always have to look on the bright side, right?
