The Era of Voice Search SEO is Here: Is Your Business Ready?

Post by metoc15411 »

Voice search is here, and it's changing the rules of SEO. Here's how your business can keep up with these changes.
What is Voice Search SEO?
Voice search SEO, also called voice search optimization, is the practice of ensuring that your content and marketing materials rank highly in search engine results for voice queries.

Look around the space you're in right now. Do you see an Amazon Echo or a Google Home device? How about a smartphone or tablet?

Voice-enabled tools aren’t just here, they’re thriving. It’s no surprise that both Google and Microsoft report that voice search accounts for more than 20% of overall search traffic.

Maybe we like voice search because it’s one step closer to benefits of using a turkey phone number list the dream of true artificial intelligence. Or maybe it has more to do with our appetite for faster ways to “get things done.”

Either way, this is the future of search, which means your business needs to optimize for voice search.

Let's answer three key questions about voice search SEO.

Why You Need to Care About Voice Search SEO?
The data is clear: voice search is no longer a trend for your SEO team to think about if they have the time. With the rapid rise of voice-enabled devices (like Alexa, Siri, and Google Home), billions of voice search queries are made every month.

Gartner predicts that voice search will account for more than half of search queries by 2020 ( the full report is available to Gartner clients ).

New survey data from Platforms also supports this prediction. We surveyed 192 people in the U.S. and Canada, and 83% reported owning at least one voice-activated device.

The graph shows the percentage of people who have zero, one, two or more voice assistant devices.
It's not just about ownership. Survey respondents report that they also use the feature: 60% use their voice-activated devices at least three times each month, and 25% indicate that they use the voice assistant feature more than 10 times per month.
