"Metrica" allows you to more finely segment your target audience.
Goals are easier to set up.
The system has a built-in so-called webvisor, which allows for a significant increase in the efficiency of user behavior analysis.
Yandex's service tracks traffic from its search engine more efficiently, while Google Analytics analyzes Google's traffic more effectively.
Strictly speaking, the last point cannot be accurate mobile phone number list called an absolute advantage of YM. It is true only for sites that receive traffic mainly from Yandex. In addition, Google Analytics has its own advantages that are absent in Metrica. The advantages of one service thus compensate for the disadvantages of the other. Therefore, it is most expedient to use both Metrica and GA. According to many experts, such a combined approach will allow you to form the most accurate picture of what is happening.
Operating principles of the system
Parallel operation of the counter
The Yandex.Metrica counter is written in Javascript and starts functioning immediately after installation. Sequential execution of such scripts can slow down the work if errors are found in one of them. To prevent such situations, parallel (asynchronous) loading of the counter is used for all scripts that are simultaneously executed among the first on the site. This approach allows to increase the accuracy of the collected data, eliminating the occurrence of errors.

Processing of non-aggregated data
Information that requires a small amount of data is usually subject to preliminary aggregation - combining data into certain groups or distributing it into separate subtypes. The block aggregated in this way is a table of data grouped according to certain criteria.
Non-aggregated information makes the table longer and more difficult to process. However, such pre-processed data taken from different sources is easier to combine. It is easier to build complex sales funnels and generate detailed reports on specific segments.
Processing a data array requires a highly efficient system that can perform calculations only at the user's request. In Metrica, this work is performed using the ClickHouse DBMS.
Sorting by parameters and indicators
The collected data is conveniently visualized in the form of reports. The information is presented in this form using parameters (Dimensions) and indicators (Metrics).
The former are used to describe measurable characteristics. Such parameters include, for example, the type of device used to access the site, the specific page the user visited, and the source of traffic.
Metrics are also measurable, but they are numerical values. These include, for example, the number of users, actions, sessions, etc.
The fundamental division of measured metrics into quantitative and qualitative is not accidental. This allows for effective comparison of collected statistical data in Metrica.
