Advocacy and lobbying in the context of Institutional and Governmental Relations

Both advocacy and lobbying are essential tools for the work of Institutional and Government Relations (IGR) professionals. Although it is often believed that advocacy is practiced through only one of them, it is important to emphasize that the two concepts are complementary and fundamental to the exercise of the activity.
