The next phase of cloud computing will change the way it works, and artificial intelligence will play a big role in how it delivers on its promise, writes ZDNet columnist David Gewirtz.

The Meaning of Cloud Computing Is Changing
The idea of ​​scalable, measurable, centrally managed computing infrastructure delivered on demand works. It fits the business models of companies ranging from startups to large enterprises. Today, it’s better to define cloud computing based on these characteristics than to continue to define it as computing infrastructure managed by someone else in an outsourced data center.
