The Northern Liaison Office serves the federal states of Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Schleswig-Holstein as well as the authorities, companies and civil society institutions based there as a contact point for questions relating to the BSI and the topic of cyber security. It is also the starting point for representing the BSI at events, conferences and trade fairs in northern Germany. The BSI set up a liaison office in Wiesbaden in 2017, and further liaison offices in eastern and southern Germany will follow.
