1. Training course helps doctors cope with Parkinson's disease
The incidence of Parkinson's disease among Chinese people over 55 is 1 percent, and more young people are diagnosed with the disease.
To improve early screening, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation, a Parkinson's disease treatment training course was launched at Shanghai Donglei Brain Hospital over the weekend, attended by about 100 young doctors from the Yangtze River Delta region.
A dozen leading local medical experts gave lectures on early diagnosis and detection of Parkinson's disease, drug treatment, surgery, rehabilitation and life management.
Experts from the Parkinson's Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Center located in Shanghai Donglei Brain Hospital shared their experience in multidisciplinary treatment, which served nearly 100 patients from home and abroad.
