What Is a Call Data Record (CDR)?
A Call Data Record (CDR) is a detailed log that contains metadata about a telephone call or other telecommunications transactions (e.g., SMS messages, VoIP sessions, etc.). 3. Security and Law Enforcement
Law enforcement agencies may request access to CDRs during investigations. These records help trace communication patterns, identify contacts, or even place a suspect at a certain location based on cell tower data.
