Spain, still facing the challenge of digitalization

The "Digital Evolution Index"'s diagnosis for Spain is not very encouraging: it places it in the "Watch Out" stage, that is, with significant challenges still ahead in terms of digitalization.

Specifically, Spain ranks 25th out of 60 in the digital evolution index, led by Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, and Finland. However, it falls to 39th in the digital pace ranking, led by China, Malaysia, Bolivia, Kenya, Russia, and Türkiye.

China leads the way in political leadership in digital material
The study highlights the importance of making digitalization a country email list political priority and cites China as an example of success. Why? The Asian giant is leading research in artificial intelligence, a sector that is estimated to increase global GDP by 14% by 2030. While there are currently only 36 robots for every 10,000 manufacturing employees in China, Beijing has set a goal of increasing the ratio to 100 by 2020.

Digitalization is undervalued in the political discourse of developed countries
On the other hand, the report warns, developed countries do not give the digital economy the role it should have in political discourse: just look at how little relevance it had during the US presidential elections, which is ironic, given the influence that email leaks, cyberespionage, and social media had on the final resul
