Now it's time to talk a little about the history of WordPress. We've prepared a timeline that goes from its appearance to the new features of its most recent versions.

The origin of everything
This content manager began to take shape with the interruption of a project called B2 Cafelog, a platform for blog development that began in 2001 and was abandoned on May 27, 2003, when version 0.7 of WordPress emerged.

WordPress is therefore a variation of the now defunct B2 Cafelog. Its founders are Matt Mullenweg and Mike Little.

Version 1.0 released in 2004
Less than a year after its release, WordPress was at version 1.0.

It has developed features that are still useful today, singapore mobile database such as its simple and fast installation, comment moderation and the creation of friendly URLs .

Also in 2004, the 1.2 update was released which allowed the arrival and support of plugins.

The arrival of Automattic and WordPress.com
Automattic was a commercial initiative created in 2005 by Matt Mullenweg and from it emerged WordPress.com.

Today, the company has a structure that offers support and hosting for sites developed on the WordPress.com platform.

At first, the idea was to expand the market that was restricted to the use of source code and start generating profits.
