My role is definitely more strategic and operational now. Before, I knew about everything that was going on, but you have to let go of that more and trust that the team leaders are the people in the right places and they will take care of these things. I definitely work more with analytical tools now and focus more on the numbers. When it comes to deciding which direction to take the company, I like to involve everyone in the company.
Everyone has the opportunity to express their strategic initiatives and then we iceland phone number data decide within the management what makes sense to focus on. I myself am now more involved in networking and establishing interesting collaborations - I see huge potential in that. Unfortunately, there are only 24 hours in a day and sometimes you need to rest.
What do you consider to be the biggest challenge for a CEO that you have had to overcome?
The relationship between the “mother” and us. Being part of a group means we don’t always have a free hand in everything. Everyone tries to assert their opinions, but it’s not always easy to withstand this situation where everyone thinks they know everything best. We also need to adapt to the size of our market.
We have big ambitions, but we are not a big market where it would be so easy to meet these challenges. Another thing we have to deal with every day is the constant shift of today. Everything is moving forward, technologies are increasing, they are continuously improving, and we have to keep up. The competition never sleeps and the barriers to entry into the EdTech market are not completely insurmountable…
