In recent weeks, there has been a lot of talk about a new television program that is now arriving on national screens: we are talking about Shark Tank , the successful reality show that has won over countless fans in the United States.

When we talk about success, we are not just referring to high audience numbers: the American edition of the program even won an Emmy for “Outstanding Structured Reality Program” and is currently renewed for singapore email list its 6th season. Shark Tank – which translates into Portuguese as Shark Tank – stimulates the spirit of entrepreneurship among Brazilians through a very innovative television format: 5 successful businesspeople, the feared sharks, evaluate entrepreneurial projects that are presented to them.

In each episode, the 5 sharks are presented with a group of entrepreneurs who present their ideas. If they like the idea presented, the sharks make their money, professional experience and contacts available to the entrepreneur so that they can carry out the business. Sharks are not named after such a lethal animal by chance: they are unscrupulous and ask questions and criticize. When they find flaws or characteristics they don't like, they dismiss the entrepreneur without making any kind of offer .

In English, this type of presentation is called Elevator Pitch . What does this mean? Basically, the presentation should be so short and brief that it can be done in one elevator ride.

The brevity of this presentation is a real challenge for the entrepreneur. It is expected that whoever presents the idea knows its potential and characteristics so much that they are able to get straight to the point.

It is very important that you are creative and innovative to prove that your business really has legs to move forward. Think carefully about what to say, have all the numbers related to the business on the tip of your tongue and establish a good long-term strategy. Where do you imagine seeing your idea in two years? Where will you be selling it?
