The PRC.TODAY portal continues to acquaint you with events related to the activities of the Chinese company Huawei. Today you will learn about the new product from this company and further plans on the domestic market.
Chinese company Huawei Technologies Co LTD has unveiled its latest flagship Mate 40 series smartphones for mainland China, despite the models being in short supply and potentially being the last of its premium line due to US sanctions.
New Huawei models for the Chinese domestic market
All four new Mate 40 models, starting at 4,999 yuan ($747) and going up to a whopping 12,999 yuan, use Huawei's own 5-nanometer Kirin chips. Three of them went on sale Friday in China.
But Huawei fans may have a hard time buying the new phones because of limited supply. On Friday evening, the first batch sold out shortly after it was put up for sale online. More batches were released over the denmark telegram number database weekend, and buyers could also register online for specific models and wait for an “invite” to place an order.
Huawei is doing “everything we can” to address supply problems in its home market, Richard Yu, head of the company’s consumer unit, said at an event in Shanghai on Friday. “ After three rounds of U.S. sanctions, many of our products are not selling, and many people are asking me if the consumer business can survive. I tell you that no matter how difficult it is, we will continue to work .”
New models are presented both in Europe and in the domestic market

The same phones were unveiled in Europe last week, the first release since the company was formally cut off from major chip suppliers under a successive wave of U.S. sanctions targeting both U.S. and non-U.S. chipmakers. Overseas orders for the Mate 40 phones have exceeded supply, and Huawei is ramping up production, Richard Yu said at the event.
