name of the book is 'Blogging like a pro. In 60 minutes'. The goal is to provide a lot of information about blogging in a short time. The book is small and probably intended to give the idea of a manual that can be read anywhere. Unfortunately, the e-book was not yet available in the preliminary phase, because this form seems to me to be extremely suitable for bloggers (in spe).

The back cover of the book states 'Anyone can blog, but how do you become successful with it?' The term successful can be interpreted broadly. The author also starts the book with this, what is a successful blog? Two criteria are given to 'measure' how successful a blog is. This can be done by the number of visitors to the blog or the number of comments on a blog. Of course, there are many other criteria, but the author immediately indicates that this depends on the goal that the blogger attaches to his or her own blog.

Core criteria for a successful blog
The book is divided into three major parts. And with that, the three most important core criteria for starting and maintaining a successful blog are also named:

Part 2: Focus
Part 3: Dedication
I could apply these three conditions directly to my new blog. From 2010 to 2012 I had a well-read blog about digitalization in the book industry. Good visitor numbers and the blogs always guaranteed a lot of reactions. It was a niche blog, so the blogs quickly stood out. After a break of a few months, I started blogging again last month. A new approach in terms of subjects and therefore also a new audience.

Successful examples & checklist
Spoiled as I was by my old blog, I noticed that starting a new blog and reaching a new audience was harder than I thought. The book Blogging like a pro offers a solution for this. Step by step, author Elja Daae takes the blogger by the hand through the blogging world. What are successful examples of bloggers and why have these blogs become so successful? Every blogger has a moment - especially in the beginning - when the blogger wonders why he or she actually blogs. Low visitor numbers, few to no reactions, it seems as if the blog is not interesting enough or does not stand out.

The book can be used as an excellent checklist usa phone data to end this uncertainty. Does the blog meet the three core criteria in the book, what is the purpose of the blog and who are my (potential) readers? I soon had to answer a number of questions that I did not (yet) have an answer to. The book makes the blogger think.

Requirement: passion for writing
For every blogger, there must be a passion for writing. And with passion, there must also be perseverance. A long breath is needed to set up a good and successful blog. 'Blogging like a pro' is recommended for people who doubt whether they should start blogging. After reading the book, a lot of questions are answered, and the amount of examples will quickly make you enthusiastic about starting a blog yourself.
