Almost everyone has heard about competitor analysis at school. This often involves the well-known models, which are of course important to give direction to these analyses. In most cases, however, these models do not provide practical tools to collect the right information, but remain abstract terms or extensive research methods that require a lot of time and money. That is why I share 5 simple ways to gain insight into your competitor in this article.

1. What are the online search trends?
Search volumes are becoming increasingly important. One tool that provides insight into this in a user-friendly way is Google Trends. In Google Trends, you can compare the search volume for your name and that of your competitors without needing a paid SEO tool. You can also see when your brand is searched for a lot and when it is searched for a little. You can then try to explain these peaks and troughs by doing in-depth research.

vanlife, a popular hashtag on Instagram. And for good reason, because for me it means: living, working and traveling in the most beautiful places on earth. In short: the ultimate feeling of freedom! Vanlife is a dream for many and a reality for me! Are you considering this lifestyle? Do you want to become a digital nomad ? Or are you just a van-lover and want to know more about it? Nowadays there are so many online tools and apps available that you can't see the forest for the trees. In this article I will give tips and advice from my personal experience as a freelance online marketer, digital nomad and vanlifer!

How it all started…
At the end of 2015 I quit my job and in france telegram data January 2016 I left for South America. I traveled there for a year and worked as a digital nomad . I loved traveling, combined with working 10 to 15 hours a week. I was kind of done with staying in hostels. I wanted more freedom!

Two years ago I made one of the best decisions of my life: I bought Vamos, my Hymer Mercedes camper from 1986! Since then I live and work in my camper half the year and in spring and summer I drive around Europe. For example, I lived with Vamos on Ibiza for 4 months, I drove all over Spain and I just got back from a 2 month road trip through Portugal. As I wrote: for me the ultimate feeling of freedom.

How flexible am I for my clients?
Of course, the ultimate feeling of freedom has to be paid for. Let me be an online marketer (SEO & SEA specialist). I can therefore perform my work independently of location. This fits in well with this lifestyle. But how do I communicate with my clients?

All my clients know in advance that I am a nomad, that I am in the Netherlands at least twice a year for face-to-face meetings and that communication from abroad is often digital.
