According to INE data, 41.2% of the hours not worked during the fourth quarter of 2022 were due to temporary disability.
This data means that in Spain a large number of sick leave applications are processed due to temporary incapacity, which is why a more agile and digitalized process is necessary.
The management of medical reports changes this year as a result of the new regulation established by Royal Decree 1060/2022, which establishes that from its entry into force (April 1) the need for the worker to present his/her sick leave report to the company is eliminated.
