Access to E-evidence by Authorities: Risks and Challenges

The panel discussed recent developments related to law enforcement access to evidence stored in other jurisdictions, such as the Microsoft search warrant case. With the increasing use of cloud computing, data that may be valuable in solving criminal cases is stored in data centers located overseas.
