As a global technology leader, Europe is internationally respected for its high level of data protection, particularly due to the exemplary effect of the GDPR. In a highly competitive international market, European companies are in first place in terms of data protection. The EU initiative could jeopardise this unique selling point enjoyed by European IT companies.
