The Google Merchant Center team sent an informative email to merchants about the pilot, writing: “Offer ready-to-buy customers the opportunity to land right at your checkout with a new pilot from ig data Google to help you increase sales and conversions.”

How does it work?
To participate in the checkout pilot for your free listing, simply sign in to Merchant Center, click Settings, and add a link to the checkout landing page where you want customers to go.

You can add one dynamic URL template for their entire brand, or it will be possible to add a unique checkout link for each individual product in the feed.

Setting up a URL template
As an advertiser, you must ensure that the URL template you want to use includes product data placeholder parameters to specify the product ID. This ensures that customers are taken to the correct checkout page. Google is currently able to support a maximum of five parameters within a URL template.
