What is the best social network for your business? (2/3) | SiteMap 40

Post by ayshakhatun3113 »

Hello everyone! We are back with another SiteMap, the companies’ guide to digital marketing. In the previous program , we listed some of the questions that companies should answer before selecting the social network or networks where it makes sense to have a presence. We also briefly presented the main features, advantages and disadvantages of Facebook – the largest and most powerful of the social networks. Today we do the same for Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+.

TWITTER – SPEED AND INFLUENCE
It is a microblogging network known for its posts with a maximum of 140 characters, for providing real-time conversations and for its hashtags (#) to organize and search for content – which have since been adopted by other networks. It has around 320 million monthly active users.

ADVANTAGES OF TWITTER
Immediacy
It is excellent for disseminating updates , news and content part time data published on other social networks or on the blog.
It is the natural habitat of journalists , information junkies and other influencers. Which also makes it good for Online Public Relations.
DISADVANTAGES
Demanding on the frequency of publication – several tweets per day are needed to create an impact
Advertising limited to preferred partners
Choose Twitter if: You want to disseminate content, get or provide feedback quickly, or reach influencers.

LINKEDIN – REACHING DECISION MAKERS
It is an essentially professional and corporate network , with around 400 million users, useful for publishing quality content with the aim of affirming and/or building a reputation for leadership among decision-makers and, consequently, useful for capturing leads.

ADVANTAGES OF LINKEDIN
Very popular with executives
Good from a Business to Business (B2B) perspective
Good advertising targeting
DISADVANTAGES
Better for promoting content than for generating interaction
Very expensive advertising
Choose LinkedIn if: You work in highly specialized B2B sectors and want to impress your potential clients – ideal for gaining a competitive advantage when they make a purchasing or hiring decision.

GOOGLE+ – THE WALKING DEAD… OR MAYBE NOT
According to an extensive study whose conclusions have not been refuted, only 4 to 6 million users use Google+ regularly, which makes it a living dead despite the existence of more than 2 billion profiles. From this we conclude the following: if you are looking for a social network to create a community, look elsewhere.

ADVANTAGES OF GOOGLE+
Due to its integration with search and Google Maps , Google+ is very relevant for SEO, that is, for promoting the visibility of companies in search rankings.
